Evie shook her head before starting to smile, “naw, just gave up on being faster. Changed it to a slow contest. And I’ve won.” Evie put her arms up and made it sound like people were cheering for her.
“Yeah, yeah.” He shook his head and smiled. “You sure have a flash way of winning things.” He joked.
”atleast I win,” Evie grinned and held her hand out for him. She looked around, trying to find something interesting to do, “whatcha wanna do?”
She looked over at Soda, accepting she just might never find something to do.Soda put his hands in his pockets and shrugged. “Be with you.”
Evie smiled a bit and looked away, her cheeks tinted pink, “Oh.”
She looked around again, scanning for anything interesting. She looked over at Soda and bit her bottom lip, holding back a bigger smile.He ran his hand threw his hair. He walked over to the park bench and sat down. “Find anythin yet?” He called out, smiling.
”How is it possible for there to be nothing to do?” Evie spun aroun din a few circles, she got a bit dizzy so she stopped but it didn’t work to well. She fell on her butt, she held back laughter and looked over at Soda quickly.
Soda laughed and shook his head. He looked away, then back to Evie, who was still on the ground, and laughed even harder.
“Stop laughing,” Evie smiled and walked over to the bench, she sat down on it and looked at Soda and crossed her eyes.
“i….im….haha! Sorry! i cant” He gasped out, between breaths.
Evie stuck her tongue out at him and uncrossed her eyes. She smiled brightly and pointed at a passing car, “look, other living people.”
Soda stood up suddenly and lifted Evie up off the ground. “That ain’t just any car.” Soda remembered the same mustang pulling up to the latest rumble they had. It was defiantly a Soc car. “C’mon… Well go sit by the bars.” He grabbed her hand and walked quickly towards the playground. Soda stood there, pulled out the only cigarette he had in his pocket and flipped his collar. He thought he could scare off the Soc’s before they even got to him. They were definatly going to go for them, they never turned up just to say hello.
